Hi Rosie,
Great blog! I love how informative it is and how often it is updated with new info. What a great resource for all those pet owners out there with health questions.
I wanted to write to you because I thought you might be interested in hearing about some of the holistic ways that Vets are treating canine arthritis. Time magazine recently published an article on the shift towards alternative pet care that featured an all natural stem cell therapy that is helping dogs walk again. For some dogs, it saves their lives.
The therapy is simple. Vets takes two tablespoons of fat from the pup’s belly and ship it to Vet-Stem in California where they remove the adult stem cells and ship it back to the Vet within 48 hours. They then inject the animals own regenerative stem cells into the injured spots. Essentially, the dog is healing himself. Nothing more natural than that!
I thought your readers might be interested to hear about this, since so many dogs suffer from arthritis and orthopedic injuries. If you’d like more information feel free to email me.
Thanks,
Callan

Thank you Callan, that sure does sound interesting. Pets often seem to respond better to holistic treatments than we do ourselves. Maybe homeostasis (the body’s own healing mechanism) works better in them because they are closer to nature. Sounds like this treatment makes great use of this process.
