They are social animals, which gives them the ability to be trained to eat directly from the hands of their owners. The Koi has a long life span. The average lifespan of a healthy Koi would reach around 30 years old (the oldest lived up to 200 years!). This makes the Koi great choices if you’re looking for a long-time pet companion. These facts make propagating koi a great hobby to have!
